American Solar Car Challenge

The American Solar Car Challenge https://www.americansolarchallenge.org/…/2021-american… will be in La Junta, CO on Wednesday August 4 and 5th, at Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site. Folks who love cars, have kids, enjoy solar car technology, or seeing the hand built solar cars, have a once in a lifetime chance to see the solar cars up close and talk to the college kids who built them. Colleges participating in the American Solar Challenge include University of Kentucky, KU, University of CA – Berkeley, MIT, Principia College and many more. Talk to the college kids from all the schools about their hand built solar cars. Very impressive. Partnering with the National Park Service, the 2021 American Solar Challenge race route will commemorate the bicentennial of the Santa Fe Trail from Independence, MO to Las Vegas, NM.
