Lusk Farms has been operating since the early 1900s. Great Grandpa Roy moved to the Arkansas Valley in 1910 to farm and has passed on his love for the farm for five generations now. Grandpa Wayne was born and raised on our farm. He took melons to the Denargo Market in Denver in the late 1940 s through the 1960 s.

Kent Lusk was also born and raised on the farm and has been running the farm since graduation from CSU in the early 1970s. Kent and Donna Lusk were married in 1971 and have been farming together ever since. Kent and Donna Lusk along with Paul and Susan Casper are present owners of Lusk Farms LLC. Grandma Esther is still involved with the farm by helping out where needed. Kent, Donna, and son David, Nephew Paul along with Paul’s wife Susan are involved in the daily growing and selling of all crops and livestock. Paul and Susan Casper were married in December of 2005 and have three children Dalton, Hayden, & Riley. The farm consists of 950 acres; 160 acres which are subsurface drip along with 140 acres of land irrigated under center pivots. The remaining acres are flood irrigation using cement ditches and gated pipe.
