Midwinter Bald Eagle Count

On Saturday January 8th, 2022, John Martin Reservoir will host their Annual Midwinter Eagle Survey. USACE and CPW staff are inviting members of the public to count bald and golden eagles around the Reservoir and contribute to a national count of eagles across the country. The event will run from 7:30 am until 9:00 am and will include an informational presentation about eagles. All volunteers are suggested to dress warmly and consider winter weather conditions. Spotting scopes, binoculars, and/or long-range cameras are also recommended to aid in spotting eagles.
